After-school mobile pottery Instructor position

About this Job

Introducing Jimmy Potters: Where Creativity Meets Artistic Learning!

At Jimmy Potters, we're a family-owned pottery studio with 15 years of experience, specializing in a wide range of creative arts, including ceramics, mixed media, painting, textiles, and more for kids! We're excited to announce our new after-school pottery workshop, where young artists can explore their creativity and learn valuable skills.

In our virtual workshops, participants will discover various techniques, such as hand building with clay, painting, watercolor, and more. Our experienced instructors not only teach these artistic skills but also foster collaboration and relationships among students, creating a supportive and inspiring environment.

At Jimmy Potters, we prioritize the training and development of our staff, and we're looking for dedicated individuals who share our mission for the long term.

Since 2005, Jimmy Potters has been spreading the joy of pottery, canvas painting, and mixed media in the Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Montgomery County Maryland Area. Our family-run business is committed to nurturing children's creativity through holistic art education. We firmly believe that artistic expression plays a pivotal role in healthy development and that art should be a hands-on, engaging, and rewarding experience.

Our ultimate goal is to provide peaceful and inclusive spaces where every child can craft truly unique treasures by hand. Additionally, we offer an exciting opportunity for language learners, as we provide pottery and art classes, summer camps, and more in Mandarin, French, and Spanish for children aged five to teenagers. While we're not language teachers, our art instructors encourage kids to expand their vocabulary and practice their target language, promoting cognitive retention and fostering an appreciation for cultural diversity.

Join us at Jimmy Potters, where we're dedicated to enriching young minds through art and creativity. Together, let's inspire the artists of tomorrow!
