Art Teacher (Part-time)
Jimmy Potters Workshop is a Virginia based company, teaching children to create pottery in an after school Art program. We are looking for a few fun, artistic, mature, responsible people to join our team in teaching pottery classes. You will be teaching hand-building and glazing lessons to Preschoolers and Elementary age children in a classroom setting. No degree is necessary – just a love for children and art. We will provide the training, curriculum, supplies, and class locations. You provide the creativity, enthusiasm, and fun.
Perfect for college students looking to gain experience in a classroom environment or for anyone who loves working with kids.
Qualifications: Must be available at least 2-3 days a week between 2-6pm. You must have your own transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance. Must be able to pass finger printing/background check at local police station. College level Fine Art, Early Childhood Education and/or Ceramic experience is preferred. Personal email and cell phone that allows for texting are required. This is a PART-TIME position; 4-20 hours a week.
